Message from Our CEO, Kanishia Loraine
We Were Hacked, Yesterday! Now What?
With data being one of the most important resources around the world, hackers are continuously attempting to tap into personal and business systems to collect personally identifiable information. According to Forbes, 300 data breaches have occurred involving over 100,000 records being stolen, within the past 10 years; Majestic Hearts was victimized, yesterday. A cyber-attacker gained access to our email account and sent an unknown link to our contacts posing as me. I was in the middle of making dinner when I received a mass of responses and calls about a message I never sent. Alarmed, I immediately contacted our IT department to eradicate the issue.
If you received this email, yesterday, please DO NOT OPEN IT! It's unclear if the link provided by the hacker(s) is intended to access your personal data, or spread a virus. Either way, this is a threat to our supporters.
We deeply apologize for the inconvenience and are taking measures to protect our data (and yours), so this never happens, again. As a result, our IT department has implemented a more advanced security feature to protect all emails. Furthermore, if you opened the email and clicked the link, yesterday, take these precautionary measures to protect your identity in the future:
